Chalon-sur-Saône to St Jean de Losne

Today we had a nice wander across the corn fields and rivers of Bourdeaux. Yesterday, we said goodbye to the Loire and picked up the Saone.   It seems to have a higher water level and be more navigable.

It was a great 40 mile ride with a fantastic tailwind.  Most of the route was very nice paved trails or very low traffic roads.

The 6 is for the route designation - Eurovelo 6

Lots of cornfields today.  The weather is very summer like, but the fields look later in the year.  Right now it is 89 degrees

The gang on a bridge

Not sure what this....but pretty cool

Not exactly sure what this says, but I don't want to ride my bike into the river, like the picture shows

The numbers for the day - 589 miles completed on this trip, so far.  Rob had our first flat tire today.

Gallipoli

Today was a bonus day.  We decided to do a day trip to the Gallipoli Peninsula.  That is where an important WWI battle was fought in 1915.  ...
